Schaeffler with solid first half of 2025: The Schaeffler Group’s revenue for the first six months of the year was 11,845 million euros; compared to the prior year level based on pro-forma amounts* and at constant currency, revenue decreased slightly by 2.6 percent. The Group generated 482 million euros in EBIT before special items in the first six months of 2025. The EBIT margin before special items of 4.1 percent was flat with prior year, compared on a pro-forma basis. Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of Schaeffler AG, said: “The Schaeffler Group has successfully advanced based on its new structure comprising four product-oriented divisions in the first half of 2025. The trend at the E-Mobility division is encouraging, as is the continued strong performance of our Vehicle Lifetime Solutions division which is once again contributing to the stability and strength of the company. Our broad positioning enables us to compensate for the market-driven revenue declines at the Powertrain & Chassis and Bearings & Industrial Solutions divisions. Despite the difficult environment and the ongoing integration, the Schaeffler Group is well on its way to fully utilizing its operational potential and focusing even more closely on its customer business than before.” *The pro-forma comparative amounts are based on the assumption that Vitesco was acquired as at January 1, 2024, and is therefore included in full in the prior year amounts. See pg. 7 of the interim financial report H1 2025 for further information. The above pro-forma amounts 2024 and the related information were not subject to the 2024 financial statement audit. Driving the self-made racing car straight to Schaeffler ????? – that's one way to describe Katharina Jungkunz's career start. From 2011 to 2016, she was a passionate participant in Formula Student Germany, where students build formula racing cars and compete against each other. This is where she first got to know Schaeffler: “Schaeffler sponsored my team from the Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm (Nuremberg Institute of Technology) and supported us in developing and building the vehicles,” Katharina recalls. “Our contacts were always easy to work with and a great help. I could always talk openly to them about all challenges.” This marked the starting point of Katharina's career at Schaeffler. She decided to complete her master's thesis in our e-mobility division, which she rejoined after graduating in 2017. Today, she is working on the overall efficiency of the e-axle (the electric powertrain) – from simulations and building loss models to exchanging and evaluating them with colleagues from testing. “I find my work not to be that different than during my time in the Formula Student team: I'm facing similar challenges, only bigger and more expensive,” she says. “I really enjoy solving them together with my team and seeing how we can move forward together through open communication and collaboration.” ?? Eight years after she left Formula Student, the competition is still close to Katharina's heart: as a contact person and supporter for members of the Formula Student teams, she is helping new talents to kickstart their own careers.
